This Is The Intermediate Guide To Item Upgrades

Path of Exile Item Upgrades

The performance of many Path of Exile items can be enhanced by upgrading them. They can be a great source of extra damage, more AD or even more attaches.

Rare-grade equipment is often superior to upgraded Common or Magic gear because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be used on weapon and armor items. They improve the effectiveness of the item they are connected to. Armor upgrades are found in the game's world and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. Alternately, they can be rescued from items with upgrade components inside them, using a specialist or more powerful salvage kit.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. The damage absorption of an armor piece will increase as it is upgraded to its maximum upgrade level. However,  item upgrader  to be aware that this upgrade will increase its weight, causing it to weigh more than it was before.

There are a variety of armor upgrade available in the game. Each one has a distinct impact. Some upgrades give armor an additional number of health points while others make it more powerful and lighter. The name of the upgrade will tell you the kind of upgrade that an item will be given, as illustrated below.

Some upgrades also feature magical or a combination of technology and magic which is identified by an "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Certain upgrades require charges to use. These are indicated as "Charges" entries in the table. These charges are continuously updated or never expire, depending on the upgrade.

The cheapest method to upgrade armor is to use Iron Ore, which can be obtained through exploring the surroundings and looting chests of minor loot. Titanium is more expensive however, it is available from smelters located in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can give significant improvement in performance and are worth the cost, especially for single-handed weapons.

The player should be aware that upgrading a piece up to the max upgrade level will increase its defense values. However, it can also reduce its agility and its speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor past +9. The defensive boost gained typically isn't worth the weight and power expenses of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to increase the effectiveness of certain aspects of a weapon. Upgrades can improve the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage that shotgun shells cause. Certain firearms also have enhancements that enhance their intrinsic characteristics. Frictionless materials (improves stability, minimizes the possibility of overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's velocity to cause more damage) are two examples.

The majority of upgrades to weapons require a whetblade, one of three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. They can be obtained by completing Side Quests, killing a certain amount of monsters or bosses or through the Weapon Upgrade NPC in Central Flarine.

To upgrade the weapon, equipment set piece or Whetblade You must go to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee that is a certain number of Bars. The more bars you need to complete an upgrade, the more advanced the level. If you have multiple upgrade materials The cost of upgrading will be lower.

In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade weapon and equipment sets has changed a bit. Prior to Chapter 2: Season 5, you could upgrade your weapon or equipment by paying a specific number of Bars. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level at which point the upgrades would be reset.

You can still do this, but the process is high on RNG and low on agency. Instead, you're better off visiting stores and buying gear that has low upgrade levels but good base scores and stat distributions. They will also have a chance at gaining you the most prestigious bonuses and blessings.

The majority of players will make the most of upgrades to weapons they most often use to make sure they are able to level up faster. Players should also upgrade the weapons that their teammates utilize to increase their power. Shepard for instance, should upgrade the M92F so that he can unlock the Beretta M93R. This will make the weapon more effective when accompanied by biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are utilized in the armor's sockets and weapons, enhancing the stats of a weapon and providing additional effects. Jewelry crafting is a method for making them, where you combine gemstones with specific reagents in a jewelry table. The higher the level of the gemstone, the better the secondary effect. These reagents can be obtained from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses around the world, or by salvaging Legendary Gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

The quality of a jewel can be improved at the Jeweler, with stages that vary from Crude to Royal. Depending on the tier of the jewel, it will provide a different stat boosts when inserted into weapons, gear and jewelry.

The Jeweler can create the highest levels of gems with the exception of rare and legendary ones that you must be at a certain level to get. Unlike other upgrade components, jewels are able to be swapped with another identical jewel without destroying the original one. However, you can only replace one jewel in an item of equipment only once.

The use of more jewels in a movement will make it feel smoother, and is often done for aesthetic reasons. Jewels also enhance performance and make a harder surface than metal so that repeated friction from pivots do not damage them.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs that can enhance the appearance of your weapons and shields. These glyphs give a slight boost and can be freely swapped, but they are not guaranteed to be available as loot. Glyphs are like jewelry and can be upgraded by the Jeweler to exchange Scattered Crystals and gold. Glyphs are also removed from the inventory, and they are returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, like traits and aegis cannot be swapped out, and are only recoverable by using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets can be used to provide your hero with many small, but beneficial benefits. They are available in the starting area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They are also available from vendors and by doing road interaction. They can also be made by jewelers and later found or purchased at the Trading Post.

The first trinket a player will unlock is the cloak. It provides a tiny but beneficial boost in speed of movement and evasion. The player can then acquire rings, amulets and necklaces in a similar manner to how they acquired weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment comes with an upgrade slot that can be either universal or jewel. Universal upgrades offer fewer benefits and can be placed in any kind of equipment while jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded and only works with certain types of trinkets.

These trinkets also grant additional bonuses and abilities that are active even when the character is not fighting.  item upgrades  allows the hero to be more efficient when they are not active. It can also make up for the lack of a strong slot in the talent tree or team which are usually filled by a hero's top stats.

A good rule of thumb for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you will not replace soon, followed by items with desirable stats that are less important than the iLevel of the item that is being upgraded. This is especially true if you are looking to upgrade multiple stats on an item. It's better to upgrade one important stat than two less important ones.

At the beginning of the game junglers will usually want to upgrade their yellow trinket to a red, while top and middle players will usually opt for the pink or green ward (depending on the matchup). These choices can impact the hero's ability to manage the map.

In addition to the items mentioned above, players can also find a number of other trinkets throughout the game in the form of awards and trophies. These can be earned through completing certain milestones within the story. For example, completing the main quest of a chapter or defeating a boss. These achievements can be seen by selecting the relevant achievement from the reward tab of the hero menu.
